If you think you have a disease that has been caused by your job you should claim IIDB as soon as possible.
If you have any medical evidence in support of your claim you should send this with your application but do not delay your claim by waiting for medical evidence.
If you delay your claim you may lose some benefits. The date of your claim is classed as the date your fully completed claim form is received by a JobCentre Plus or social security office so you should complete and send the form as soon as possible.
