Cancer Patients Pay Too Much To Travel

It has been found that cancer patients are forced to pay too much for insurance travel cover as a result of insurance providers’ underwriters failing to keep up-to-date with latest medical developments.

AllClear Travel, a specialist in providing insurance cover for sufferers of cancer has cut the cost of their premiums for sufferers of breast cancer by as much as 20 per cent due to advances in medical treatment. They are now continuing to review rates on other medical conditions.

The chairman of AllClear, Mike Rutherford said: “Improvements in cancer treatments mean that the risk of making a claim while abroad have been significantly reduced. This needs to be fairly reflected in the premiums people pay.”
